Top Security Tips For Using Public WiFi via @UrbanMuse

Oooh… I need to do all these things. I write at Starbucks a lot. Now is anyone up for writing a post about how you can get up and go to the bathroom in a coffee shop while somehow not leaving your laptop unattended?

eBook Pricing: Are Indie Authors Throwing Away Their Hard Work? via @TahliaNewland

I’m always fascinated by this talk about pricing books online. Honestly, I can never make heads or tails of it. (Wait. Is that a real turn of phrase, or did I just make that up?) What do you all think: are authors devaluing their work right now, and is that a good thing, or a bad thing?

Your Brand Is More Important Than You Think: 9 Criteria For Brand Essence via @BrianSolis

It’s really hard to find a clear, straight-to-the-point explanation of the term “branding.” I personally have never written a post about it because I find it so hard to describe. But I found this to be a really great description of it.

Support Gay Marriage Or Gay WOMEN Will Marry Your BOYFRIENDS

First it was gay men, now its gay women. If I were you straight people, I’d get gay marriage approved in your state right away. This just got serious.

>>> WOMR Update: I’ve tweaked WOMR a bit by getting rid of my “Blogger Radar” and merging it with my”Writer Radar.” I realized that it was redundant to have the two. Most writers these days are bloggers, and bloggers are basically writers for an online audience, so I figured there was no need to split blogging and writing into two different categories anymore.

  1. Thanks so much for the mention Ollin – it means a lot! (LOVE the song lyrics by the way, bahaha! That made my day!)

    Hi Ollin,

Funny when I read this I couldn’t beleive someone else has experienced the same thing. I have not found a solution to this dilemma. I have to shut my computer down and take it along with me to the bathroom. The only option is to write in your car, or at home. I love to get out of the house and write at cafe’s and Starbucks, but it is such a hassle to deal with this. If you ever find someone who knows how to overcome this liet me know.
